MapInfo Professional 12.5 compatibility

MapInfo Professional 12.5 (32-bit) is compatible with ARCS for GIS 1.8. This still requires DEP to be turned off.

However, MapInfo Pro 12.5 (64-bit) is not. We are working on a resolution to this problem.

Using Remote Desktop Connection can cause problems

Using Remote Desktop Connection to connect to a Windows systems can cause problems when using the hardware key for ARCS for GIS. This is true for both standalone and network keys. For some reason, the protocol used by Remote Desktop Connection runs the call to check for the presence of the hardware key on the local machine and not the server causing the call to fail.

A workaround to this problem is to connect to the server using a different protocol such as that used by the Logmein applications (see www.logmein.com).

If you’re having problems please contact us for more information.
